Ruan Kotzé

Director

Exceptional sculpture deserves exceptional casting.

Every sculpture that leaves the foundry passes through Ruan's hands. With a background in architecture, music, and production, he brings an engineer's precision and an artist's eye to every stage of the process.

Working closely with each sculptor, Ruan is committed to preserving the integrity of the original artwork, carefully overseeing each stage of the lost-wax casting process—from mould making and casting to chasing and patination. His meticulous attention to detail ensures every sculpture is finished to the highest standard.

Under his direction, the foundry has earned a reputation for museum-quality bronze casting across figurative, wildlife, and contemporary sculpture, creating works of exceptional craftsmanship that will endure for generations.

How It Works

The Lost-Wax Process

The lost-wax process is a centuries-old casting technique renowned for producing fine art bronze sculptures of exceptional quality, precision, and durability. Every sculpture passes through a series of carefully managed stages, each requiring specialist knowledge and meticulous attention to detail — carried out entirely in-house by our experienced team of artisans, ensuring complete quality control from the original artwork to the finished bronze.
