Wilma Cruise (b. 1945, Johannesburg) is a South African sculptor working mainly in fired clay to render life-sized human and animal figures, a number of them editioned in bronze, alongside large-format drawings. Represented by Everard Read, she has completed major public commissions including the National Monument to the Women of South Africa at the Union Buildings and 'The Right to Life' at the Constitutional Court, and holds a PhD in art and animal ethics from Stellenbosch University.
