Janko de Beer

Janko de Beer (b. 1980, Pretoria) is a South African sculptor based on the Cape coast who came to art after more than a decade practising as an advocate of the High Court. He is known for organic forms drawn from dried bull kelp and other found materials — driftwood, stone and bone — which he casts into limited-edition bronzes using the lost-wax technique.
