Marieke Prinsloo-Rowe

Marieke Prinsloo-Rowe is a South African figurative sculptor working from her studio in Prince Albert, in the Great Karoo, who models the human figure in wax and clay and casts in bronze, resin and cement composites. University of Pretoria–trained and a winner of the 1997 Sasol New Signatures judges' award, she is known for public and monumental commissions, including a six-metre bronze monument to John Beaver Marks (2015) and a national HIV/AIDS Children's Memorial (2014).
